River City Soccer Hooligans

I tried to emulate this game way earlier, but I couldn't get past the start menu. I had to wait until it came out in stores in America to get my hands on it.

So I'm pretty sure this game was released in June in the States, which shocked me because the Koshin Kyoku remake was made WAY earlier in Japan.

RC Soccer Hooligans is an English port of the DS remake of Kunio kun Soccer League, or Goal 3, for the Famicom. I found this game to be surprisingly good, better than the Kyoku remake. It retains just about everything Goal 3 had, and is complete with unnecessary swearing and goofy Engrish translation. I am currently thoroughly enjoying this game's toughness and challenging learning curve, though it appears to be very long.

Once I get further in I'll do a full review.

You just need to use another emulator. With DESMUME, worked well.

Well I didn't had the chance to play, but I will give it a try some day.

Ah DS games are slow on PC, even on my laptop..

I can play now, but it's boring.

I dunno, I sort of like the nes/famicom version better. Sure, the music is updated, but I like the 8-bit soundtracks more. Also, people's eyes don't nearly pop out of their skulls, so I find this game to be less humorous than the first.
